  11. As the subject line says, I come hat in hand for help
  12. to people that have far more knowledge about
  13. these things than I do.

  15. My Telepath (a USR Sportster that thinks it's a Gateway)
  16. wants to answer the phone whenever the computer is on.

  18. I have tried numerous fixes.  I have tried entering S0=0
  19. (where the 0 is a zero) in the Win95 modem string.
  20. I have tried entering it in the FaxWorks string.  My wife
  21. is ready to try ripping out the modem.  I have exhausted
  22. my own limited technical knowledge, and I must now ask
  23. someone to go to the trouble and bother of helping me.

  25. Somebody in this group must know how to handle this
  26. problem, and that person will earn my everlasting
  27. gratitude if he or she will share that knowledge
  28. with me.
